The financial sector’s dependence on digital platforms, cloud environments, APIs, mobile applications and interconnected thirdparty ecosystems has broadened the cyber risk landscape. Cyberattacks are becoming more sophisticated, targeted and technologyenabled, with AI increasingly used to both amplify attacks and strengthen defence. For banks and other RBI-regulated entities (REs), cyber risk is no longer only an IT concern; it can affect business continuity, customer confidence, financial assets, reputation and, if inadequately contained, critical financial infrastructure and financial stability. RBI’s supervisory perspective increasingly emphasises a proactive, risk-based, and resilient approach, supported by governance, continuous monitoring, robust controls, effective incident response, testing, and preparedness. Senior leadership and Boards therefore need to understand evolving attack vectors, vulnerabilities arising from cloud, APIs, and third parties, cyber fraud risks, data and privacy considerations, and the effectiveness of security operations and resilience frameworks. The programme will provide an executivelevel perspective on moving beyond prevention to preparedness, response, recovery and sustained cyber resilience. It will draw on recent cyber incidents, practical lessons, emerging technologies and defence mechanisms, and evolving regulatory expectations. Sessions will be led by senior regulators, senior bank functionaries and domain experts, enabling participants to gain practical insights into strengthening institutional cyber-security posture and resilience.
To facilitate informed discussion among senior leaders on the strategic and supervisory dimensions of cyber resilience, the programme will help participants assess institutional preparedness, identify gaps in existing frameworks, and draw practical lessons from recent incidents and emerging technologies to strengthen decision-making, oversight and organisational readiness
The program will deal with the following topics:
Sessions will be addressed by senior regulators, senior bank functionaries and domain experts, bringing together supervisory perspectives, practitioner experience and cutting-edge domain expertise
