In recent times, there have been several regulatory changes relating to banks’ operations in Indian financial markets. Reserve Bank of India (Credit Derivatives) Directions, 2022 have been issued relating to credit derivatives transactions undertaken in Over-the-Counter (OTC) markets and on recognised stock exchanges in India. They will be made effective from May 09, 2022. Earlier, the landscape for hedging of foreign exchange risk by residents and non-residents had been reviewed. Banks in India have now been permitted to undertake transactions in the offshore Foreign Currency Settled Overnight Indexed Swap (FCS-OIS) market with non-residents and other market makers. Also, Reserve Bank of India (Call, Notice and Term Money Markets) Directions, 2021 were issued, following a comprehensive review of the regulations relating to money markets.


In this half day Virtual Learning Program (VLP), participants would gain insights into the regulatory changes which have taken place in recent times relating to financial markets. They will also get the opportunity to interact with regulators and understand the nuanced aspects of the regulations.
