NBFCs and HFCs have become integral to India’s financial ecosystem, expanding access to credit and complementing banks’ role through efficient last-mile delivery. As the sector grows in scale, complexity and digital adoption, the imperative is to pursue growth while strengthening governance, risk management, customer protection and regulatory compliance. The Reserve Bank of India’s supervisory focus places greater emphasis on robust Board oversight, effective compliance, risk appetite and internal controls, sound credit and liquidity risk management, responsible lending, KYC/AML, fair customer practices and resilience to technology, cyber, third-party and operational risks. Supervisory observations and enforcement actions also underscore the importance of accountability, timely remediation, fraud-risk management and preparedness for supervisory scrutiny.
The programme aims to deepen senior NBFC and HFC leaders’ understanding of evolving regulatory and supervisory expectations, thereby strengthening governance, compliance and risk management. It will offer practical insights on responsible lending, customer protection, credit and fraud risks, technology resilience, supervisory preparedness, and emerging sector challenges through interactions with regulators, industry leaders and domain experts
The program will deal with the following topics:
Senior regulators, senior banking/NBFC functionaries, and domain experts will address the sessions, providing participants with both regulatory perspectives and practical industry insights.
Board Directors and Senior Officials of NBFCs and HFCs responsible for governance, risk management, compliance, credit, finance, IT and cyber security, operations, and customer protection.
